Dr Petunia Malatji is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agriculture and Animal Health, University of South Africa. She obtained her Master of Science (Veterinary Science) and PhD (Animal Science) qualifications from the University of Pretoria. Her research interests include parasitology, molecular biology and genomics.
She is actively involved in undergraduate teaching, research and supervision of MSc and PhD students. In addition, she collaborates with national and international academics and researchers. Her professional career allows her to travel the world conducting research in different laboratories and attending conferences where she previously won awards. She also received a travel grant and research funding from different funding bodies.
Her love for education compelled her to register “Making Education Fashionable” enterprise, a vehicle she also uses to give back to the communities and touch the lives of many underprivileged children, youth and adults.
